CAN-AM JOB RECRUITING AND PLACEMENT CENTER, a partner company of CAN-AM IMMIGRATION, a one-step solution to employment in the construction industry in the U.S.

CAN-AM assist American Construction Companies find highly qualified employees and help Canadian skilled workers find American Companies ready to sponsor their entry into the United States.

CAN-AM IMMIGRATION is responsible for obtaining all necessary work permits and/or permanent residencies (green card).

U.S. SPONSORING COMPANIES 
will sponsor Canadien skilled workers for their permanent residency (green card) and/or temporary work permits in the U.S.

CAN-AM IMMIGRATION will prepare 100% of all the necessary documentation and additional information required by the U.S. Labor Department to obtain the Labor Certification.

U.S. LABOR DEPARTMENT
will give permission to the U.S. Companies to hire Canadian skilled workers by issuing a Labor Certification and will transfer the case to Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)

CAN-AM IMMIGRATION will prepare 100% of all the necessary documentation and additional information required by INS for obtaining of the Employment Classification.

IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION SERVICE (INS)
is responsible for the processing of the case for Canadian skilled workers and will issue the Employment Classification for the obtaining of their permanent residency (green card) INS will transfer the case to the Visa Center.

CAN-AM IMMIGRATION will prepare 100% of all the necessary documentation and additional information for every aspects related to the skilled worker and his/her family, required by the American Consulate in Canada.

AMERICAN CONSULATE IN CANADA
Once approved by the Labor Department and INS, the American Consulate in Canada is responsible for every aspect related to the skilled worker and his/her family (ex.: criminal checks, medical, etc.) and will issue the necessary documentation for permanent residency (green card) and the Travel Document to the United States.CAN-AM IMMIGRATION will guide you in every step regarding your establishment in the United States: on what you need to do before leaving Canada and what you have to do in the United States.

For example:
Canada:

  • Forms to be completed for Canadian authorities, etc ...

United-States:

  • Schools
  • Driver's licence
  • Social Security number
  • Moving procedures, etc...

PERMANENT RESIDENCY (GREEN CARD)
and/or
PERMANENT RESIDENCY
(COMMUTER GREEN CARD)
When obtaining the PERMANENT RESIDENCY (GREEN CARD), you have six (6) months to move in the U.S. and stay there permanently
and/or
With a PERMANENT RESIDENCY (COMMUTER GREEN CARD), you must be employed permanently by a U.S. Company but you may live in Canada. Every year, you must demonstrate that you are still working permanently for a U.S. Company and your status will be renewed year to year. You may also move to the U.S. at any time.

AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP
After five (5) years, you may request your American Citizenship.Since 1978, it is permitted in the United States to have dual citizenship. When obtaining your American citizenship, you will maintain your Canadian citizenship.

This will be your ticket to work freely in both countries.
